Returns
Items bought in our online shop should be returned to us within 14 days in perfect condition, complete with the labels, original packaging, and the returns form, we will then be happy to refund you within 14 days after the package comes back in our office. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Please note that we do not have a free return policy. The costs for returning a parcel are at your own expense. You can easily make a return label with our returns portal.
In case you life outside the EU and want to make a return to us, or in case you don't want to use our portal, please use our return form. In case you need help with a return label we can assist you. Please read below.

Please note that the below items cannot be returned unless faulty:
- Embroidered Goods
- Made to Measure Items
- Items made in personalised colours
- Bits
- Horse Supplements / Food
- Liquid horse products like shampoos, sprays, etc.
Return costs
You must make your own arrangements to return goods to us and you will be responsible for the cost of return unless goods are faulty. Next to that we do not refund the shipment costs from the initial shipment from our shop to a destination outside The Netherlands. We recommend that you obtain proof of postage as you are responsible for the returned goods until they arrive in our warehouse.
Return costs & Import costs outside Europe
When items are returned from outside the European Union, the customer is responsible for paying the return costs and any import costs. Horse Riders Classics does not cover the shipping costs for returning an item, nor any taxes. We will refuse the package if we have to pay import duties again. In case that is not possible we settle the costs with the refund we make. We recommend using a traceable service to reduce the risk of lost packages.
Please note that return shipments from outside the European Union are quite expensive due to high shipping and import costs, depending on the country of return. For more information on import costs, please contact your local customs office. No guarantee or service is valid for delivery outside the European Union. If you still wish to return an item, clearly indicate on the packaging that it is a RETURN.
In case you need assistance to make a return label. We can assist you with a label. In this case send us an e-mail containing: the items you wish to return, the dimensions of the box and the weight. We will send you a quotation for a DHL Express Drop Off return label. You can choose after we send the quotation if you wish to purchase the return label or not.
Refused - non deliverable packages
Packages that cannot be delivered, refused by the recipient, or are not collected from a Parcelshop within 7 days, will be returned to Horse Riders Classics. We charge € 12.50 extra return costs for this method of return. In case the transport company states a higher rate we also charge this to you. This is because DHL also charges these costs to us. If the package is received in the normal way and then returned, the regular agreements apply.
Exchange items
Please note that we do not exchange products. If you wish to have another size/color please return the item to us and place a new order for the other size/color.
All goods returned to us must be in a clean condition otherwhise they will be returned to you at your expense.

Cooling off period after online purchase
It may happen that you want to return an order. Perhaps because you do not like the product or maybe there is another reason why you would not want the order. Whatever the reason, you have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving any reason.
Return policy exceptions
We assume you'll handle your items with care. We do not accept returns for the following items:
- Worn/washed/damaged clothing and products
- Clothing and products that have become dirty from trying them on. Pay particular attention to white clothing before returning it.
- Items with labels removed
- Horse bits
- Embroidered items
- Custom made items
- Items made according to your color specifications, the so-called custom-made items
- Nutritional supplements
- Liquid care products
My product is defective: warranty
If your product is defective due to a manufacturing error, please contact us by email. Please clearly describe the problem and attach several photos.
You can claim the warranty for the first two years after purchase. This warranty explicitly covers inherent defects of the product. Normal wear and tear or defects resulting from improper use are not covered.
The warranty on zippers and buttons is six months.
We only give warranty on products sold within the EU.
Exchange product?
In some cases, it's possible to exchange a product. Please contact customer service, and we'll check if the product is eligible for exchange.

Processing the return shipment
From the moment you hand in your order at a postal shipping point, it can take up to a week for us to process your return.
Every returned order is inspected upon receipt. If your return is found to be undamaged and returned within the return period, we will instruct the relevant bank or credit card company to refund the purchase price.
If you paid with Klarna or Riverty, we will instruct Klarna/Riverty to adjust/cancel your invoice.

You'll usually receive a full refund for the returned items from your online order within a week. Depending on your bank or credit card provider, it may take up to three business days for the refund to appear in your credit card/bank account.
We do not refund shipping costs.
If the product is damaged, or the packaging is damaged more than necessary to fit the product, the labels are missing, or there are other damages or stains, we may charge you for the reduction in value of the product.
Return costs are not reimbursed
You will be credited the full order amount excluding shipping costs.
You'll be responsible for paying for returning your package to our store. Please consult your carrier's website for the exact rates.
Therefore, please treat the product with care and ensure that it is properly packaged when returned, that the hangers and original product packaging are included, and that the tags are still attached.
Packages that cannot be delivered, are refused by the recipient, or are not collected from a Parcelshop within 7 days will be returned to Horse Riders Classics. For this return method, we charge an additional €12.50 return fee. This is because the carriers also charge us these costs. If the package is received normally and then returned, the regular terms and conditions apply.
Exchange helmet lining
Does the helmet fit, but is the liner too small or too large? There are two options:
- You return the lining and add to the box that you want to exchange the lining for a lining in the size of your choice
- You order a different size liner. If you return the liner that's too big or too small, we'll cancel that order. The liner is still free, but we'll only deduct the cost from your return shipment.
For the return shipment itself, you can use our returns portal or arrange your return shipment yourself.
