Why Bamboo?
Because Kentucky is focused on sustainability, they wanted to develop a new green technology that everyone knows. Bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world that has enormous tensile strength and avoids the penetration of sharp objects and is antibacterial.

The tendon boots are made of a strong TPU frame with multiple ventilation holes in the tendon area and a larger triangular mesh ventilation.
The tendon area is reinforced with our bamboo shield to prevent penetration.
Where the horse bends, we have added a soft piece of natural rubber to prevent friction. The inner part of the tendon boots is reinforced with an extra layer of TPU to withstand high wear and tear.

Kentucky has created its own in-house testing machine that creates a force of 80N that falls on a horizontal horse leg with a razor-sharp axe. The Bamboo shield covers can withstand this extreme test method that cannot be compared to any real impact while driving. The tendon boots are also Rico test approved and RCT certified.

Fabrics & materials
The Bamboo Shield tendon boots are made with the highly breathable and well-known 3D Spacer lining that is used in the brushing boots 3D spacer and blankets. They have a robust outer frame made of lightweight but strong TPU frame, with an additional bamboo shield in the tendon area for optimal protection against any impact and penetration of sharp objects and is also antibacterial.

Shape and size
Thanks to the anatomically shaped design, the tendon boots fit nicely around the horse's leg for maximum comfort and protection. This allows the horse maximum freedom of movement to jump better.

The soft and flexible rubber insert under the joint also offers the horse more comfort in movement

Maintenance instructions
The tendon boots are machine washable at 30°C (no dryer). We always recommend using a laundry bag to prevent scratches from the dryer. You can easily use the cleaner specially developed for TPU tendon boots to give the tendon boots the finishing touch so that they look like new again.
